beh-flagboyThe Utah Pride 2010 Parade will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2010.

General Parade Entry Information

Please review all Parade Participation Rules.

PARADE CONFIRMATION LETTERS

Confirmation of your entry in the parade will be mailed or e-mailed 48 hours after receiving your complete application. Please make sure that the address contained in your application is correct, so that it may reach the person responsible for your organizations participation in the 2010 parade. If you have no email address and do not receive your confirmation notice 7 days after you submitted your application, please contact the Center.

Line Up Order and Placement Criteria

The Utah Pride Parade line-up is done by assignment blocks based on when the Pride committee receives your completed application and payment. The placement within these blocks will be based on aesthetics, music, entertainment, type of vehicles, etc. The first contingent positions are reserved for Flag Bearers, Grand Marshals, Award Recipients, Sponsors and Dignitaries.

PARADE ENTRY LEADERS

All parade entries are required to assign a Leader/Contact Person who will be responsible for their contingent in the Utah Pride Parade. Your Entry Leader will need to attend a mandatory parade safety briefing held on Saturday May 29th at The Utah Pride Center, 355 North 300 West, Salt Lake City. Your parade confirmation letter will give you the exact date and times. At that meeting your Entry Leader will sign a parade code of conduct form, and be given Entry numbers to affix to your vehicles.

PLACEMENT NUMBERS

The 2010 Parade will be utilizing assigned numbers for placement. No vehicles or walking groups will be allowed on the parade route without an assigned placement number. These numbers will be given out at the Parade Safety Briefing on Saturday, May 30th, 2009. Entries with multiple vehicles will be assigned the units number followed with a letter (18B for example) designation. These groups must be assembled before they enter the staging area on 300 South.
