I am grateful for my strength and things I can do with my body. I am saying I’m healthy and I accept the way my body is today without changing anything. “Take your time and your talent and figure out what you have to contribute to this world, and get over what the hell your butt looks like in those jeans!”
At Utah Pride Center Community Counseling Services, our Mental Health team works along with folks of all ages who struggle with body positivity.
Due to the last year and a half, the impact of COVID-19 had a major impact on our bodies and how we perceive our things; therefore, let’s take a moment each day and night to refer to our mind, body, and soul in a kind, loving and positive way.
Let’s teach our children to use their autonomy to be more gentle with what they have.
If you find yourself or a young person in your household struggling with body positivity, send an email to schedule an office visit with us at [email protected] and let’s work together to increase our quality of life.
