UPC's Queer History Fireside Chats feature the fascinating people who have shaped Utah's LGBTQ+ community. This month, we're talking to Chad Michael Hardy. In the late aughts, Chad Hardy created the viral "Men on a Mission" calendars, featuring shirtless and garment-clad LDS missionaries. The fallout was swift and severe, with Chad being excommunicated from the church and stripped of his degree from BYU. This controversy lead him on a journey of self-discovery; stepping into his identity as a member of the LGBTQ+ community and a voice for authenticity and personal growth. He's here to promote his new book "The Law of Zero" (available now).
