Release Your Inner Artist with The Paint Mixer
Every other Wednesday 6:00pm-8:00pm, $42 all materials costs included. E-mail wellness@utahpridecenter.org for sliding scale option.
Release your inner artist and get those creative juices flowing as you paint a step-by-step instructed painting. No experience? No problem! Plenty of experience? Feel free to go “off road” and do your own interpretation. This is a judgement free zone where you can tune out that high school teacher that told you not to quit your day job, or rediscover that budding artist you were in high school before you got a day job. There’s a reason art therapy is a thing. Find that inner artist again and re-discover the joy of creating.
We’ll listen to music while we paint. You are welcome to supply your own snacks and beverage.
Materials
Class supply kits will be available for pick-up at the Utah Pride Center the week of your class. If you are having your kit shipped to you, or would like delivery, and have questions, please email wellness@utahpridecenter.org.
Other than the painting kits, please have a cup half filled with water to rinse out your brushes and clothes you don’t mind getting paint on.
Finally, make sure to grab your favorite beverages and snacks and make it a party!
About the Instructor
Brenda Hattingh (she/her) has been working for the Paint Mixer for 8 years. She also paints commissions, including pet portraits. You can see her work at Facebook.com/wyguypaintedpet
This past summer she added children’s book illustrator to her list of artistic endeavors. Her first such accomplishment, Fiba: The Fastest, Bravest Impala in All of Africa, can be found on Amazon.
