Program Descriptions

Orientation

All 2-10, 10-14, and 14-20 programs will require an orientation. Orientations for ages 10-14 and 14-20 will be provided from 3:00 to 4:30 on all drop in days (currently Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday). No appointment is necessary. Orientations for ages 2-10 can be made by appointment. Please email Monica Perez at monicaperez@utahpridecenter.org. Orientation is a time for incoming youth and a member of the Youth & Family Programs Staff to meet and go over the different groups, expectations for the space, and resources offered by Youth & Family Programs.

Drop In
Drop in is a time for youth to access the space without attending an orientation. Our drop in space includes a kitchen and snacks, a mini-cyber center, TV and games, library, and an exchange closet and glam area.
Social Time
An unstructured social time occurs after regular programs Mondays-Fridays, excluding Thursdays, and is open to youth who have completed orientation. While staff is on the floor, this is a time for youth to socialize with each other after the completion of programs.
Unique Expressions

This 8-week program will provide youth with an opportunity to express their unique identities while exploring instruments, creating self-portraits, writing songs and so much more. This group will focus on building community, strengthening our self-image and developing new skills. No prior experience with music or art is required. A Unique Expressions intake with the facilitator is required. To schedule an intake, email uniqueexpressions@utahpridecenter.org
