Greetings!

My name is Andrew Pereira, and I am a doctoral student at University of North Texas who is completing research examining body image, eating, racism, and related issues in sexual minority men of color. This study aims to address a scientific need to focus on individuals with overlapping minority identities, who are often overlooked by researchers. Your community’s input is a valuable contribution to addressing this need.

To be eligible, participants must be:
over the age of 18
fluent in English
have in the past or are currently living in the US
identify as cis-male
identify as a person of color
identify as not strictly heterosexual (e.g., gay, bi, questioning, pansexual, or asexual).

Participants who complete the brief 15-20 minute survey may enter a drawing to win one of three $100 visa gift cards. Participants may also choose to enter a charity of their choice instead.

After completing the survey, participants will be asked to consider friends, partners, or acquaintances who might also be eligible to participate. Please consider forwarding this email to your members, even if some of them will not be eligible, as every participant they may forward the email to is vital to the visibility and inclusiveness we are hoping to achieve.

Thank you for your time!

Location of survey: Online through Qualtrics
