March 1st is Zero Discrimination Day, and although we should make this a daily practice, today allows us to reflect and celebrate the right of everyone to live authentically as their true selves.
Zero Discrimination Day began to create a global movement of solidarity to end all forms of discrimination.
Let us use this day as an opportunity to check our own bias, make an effort to understand those who are different than us, and lift up those around us. Right now, there are people trying to pass laws around the country that are designed to discriminate against the LGBTQIA+ community.
Whether it’s banning books, “Don’t say Gay” laws, trans athletes rights, erasing queer history, or denial of transgender healthcare coverage, we must unite and fight against these forms of discrimination.
