Who We Are
The Youth & Family Department serves youth and young adults ages 0-22 and their parents and caregivers. From weekly support groups and activity nights, to community GSAs and skill-building programs, we strive to ensure that LGBTQIA+ youth and families have a place to turn to no matter who they are, who they love, or what they may need.
Why We Are Here
We are here to provide an inclusive and affirming space for LGBTQIA+ youth, young adults, and parents and caregivers in Utah. We recognize the need for our youth and families to have a caring community to turn to for support, friendship, and acceptance. At times, it can be difficult to find a sense of belonging and acceptance as an LGBTQIA+ youth in Utah, which is why we strive to foster a community around self-love, compassion, and authenticity. We see you. We love you. We are here for you.
How To Join
Due to COVID-19, we have moved our orientations to online. Here is the link for the orientation: Youth & Young Adult Online Orientation. Once we receive your completed orientation form, we will follow-up with you to schedule a quick age verification over Zoom.
Orientation is a time for incoming youth and a member of the Youth & Family Programs Staff to meet and go over different groups, expectations for the space, and resources offered by the Utah Pride Center.
